It would be great to have an option to select folders for download with a simple checkbox manually.

One of the biggest abusers is e-hentai, which contains hundreds of 'folders' or 'threads' that may or may not include the specific character you’re looking for, along with countless irrelevant crap, including AI-generated garbage.

Selecting only the folders you want to download and leaving the unrelated junk behind would be a really useful feature, I think most of users would agree.

Could you clarify what you mean by "folder", in this context? And where this checkbox would be in the Grabber UI?
If it's about the image list, note that you can select results individually using Ctrl+Click.

Something like this: an option to open the e-hentai results (and other sites if they have the same behavior), but not directly on the site. Instead, the results would load in the grabber with an additional menu to select the items we want, similar to how selection works in Windows (if the option is enabled):
