Can't update user without valid email

What happened?

When trying to edit a user that doesn't have a valid email configured, you cannot save.

What did you expect?

When adding a user, it mentions that the email doesn't have to be valid. I expected this to be true later on as well, it now seems like I have to change the email when updating.

It's not a big issue as I just added @localhost, and it works.

Additional Notes

I do not know if this started in (the latest) nightly branch or is present in the latest stable. I don't really update user often, only noticed after I had to change a setting for my parents.
