Hi, I've used Cubic on Ubuntu and it's an awesome tool! I was wondering if the Debian version can be tweaked by the author to give a Devuan (D1) version, i.e. w/ systemd parts replaced by equivalent implementations.
I CAN REPORT that Cubic running on Ubuntu does successfully remaster D1 ISOs, but it doesn't install on D1, as policykit-1 and systemd dependencies aren't satisfied on D1 (which aims to be systemd-free). When I looked at it, it seems that using "systemd-nspawn" for running the console (snippet below) is the main obstacle. Any tips for "modding" it to use chroot instead?

systemd-nspawn \
--quiet \
--notify-ready=yes \
--register=yes \
--bind-ro="${bind_path}" \
--machine="${machine_name}" \
--directory="${directory}"

As for user-friendly desktop spins of Devuan (for platform), Peppermint's XFCE Devuan edition seems to be quite good to try out. Also, Lxqt version of "Expirion" seems to be well done as well.
