Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start a WiiVC game
  2. Cancel the prompts
  3. Shut down the console

What should happen:

  • RiiTag does not get updated

What does happen:

  • RiiTag is still updated

Cause:

The title id is saved when a game requests to start because ON_APPLICATION_START is not called for WiiVC games anymore. But ON_APPLICATION_REQUESTS_EXIT() also runs when the console is about to shut down (also happens when using Wiiload).

Workaround:

Start a system title first before shutting down.

I can confirm this but with playing a WiiVC game in general. I didn't cancel any prompt - I was playing Pikmin 1 for about an hour and it didn't update on the RiiTag.

@ItzSwirlz ??? this is a completely different thing. It also doesn't matter how long you are playing the game, it will update the tag as it starts the game before entering the Wii mode. Check your network connection + make sure your key is correct.
