What do you want to amplify?
I’m requesting help amplifying my open office hour time slots available to the community during WordCamp Asia.
Amplification request details
During WordCamp Asia, I’ve blocked off some portions of my calendar as designated open office hours. Anyone in attendance that would like to reserve some time to chat with me can do so here.
During these 15 minute increments, anyone can come talk to me about WordPress Core, contributing, the community, or anything else is that may be on their minds. The only ask is to not sign up for help desk style requests. I am not looking to troubleshoot specific individual problems. This is about being available to and listening to the community as a full-time contributor, committer, and repeat release squad member. The topic should be something we can have a conversation about without a computer.
I was chatting with Mary today, and she suggested it would be valuable to amplify this because of my current position as a Core Tech Lead on the 6.8 squad as a good way to gather feedback.
I think Twitter/X, and LinkedIn are good avenues for this amplification. I posted about this here and here, respectively. But posting separately linking directly to the scheduling page would also be sufficient.
🚀 Attending WordCamp Asia? Jonathan Desrosiers, Core Tech Lead for WordPress 6.8, has set aside open office hours on Feb. 21 & 22 for anyone who wants to chat about WordPress Core, contributing, and the community.
