I intuitively started xs serve ., and the process began without any errors, while 'test' | .append didn't work. I guess the logic could be improved here. Maybe an additional check is needed or something. Please consider improving it. :)

Good feedback! xs serve . is valid: strictly speaking, it means, turn the current directory into a store. It's a bit weird though, you generally treat a store directory as a black box.. 🤔

But then .cas should work too, which it didn't in my case.

The default location for the xs.nu conveniences is: ./store.

You can change the default by setting:

$env.XS_ADDR = "."

then the conveniences would have started picking up the xs serve . store

I still need to document all this 🥴 haha
