Just installed Elementary 7.0 on the chromebook as a stand-alone OS via mrchromebox.tech firmware. I had trouble with the screen not orienting correctly and tried rotation lock, but it reverted after reboot or sleep. Since EOS 7 is Ubuntu based I tried that route to find answers.

Thanks to the author for preventing a newb from using his laptop as a frisbee! It kills the the screen flip function, but who cares.
