Make "Timer Finished" an external switch

Would like to be able to use "Timer Finished" from HA, specifically from Automations that use Calendar Events or HA Timers.

I think timers need a bit of overhauling as even if they're running locally on the device they should be able to be exposed to HA. Given that HA doesn't natively support timers very well starting with an event when timers finish would be great so we can use them as triggers.

It would be good to have the event contain multiple bits of information about the timer like its name, the time the timer was started, elapsed duration etc.

I think there were plans to expose them as events. Next week is another voice chapter but I don't expect this to come.

That is in the opposite direction of what I’m looking for. I want to leverage the “timer finished” sound and how the HAVA reacts.
