owcmd.el provides a command to switch to the next window, run a command, then
switch back to the original window automatically. Use it to save keystrokes when
you need to do just one thing in the other window, like scroll the buffer, jump
to a definition, paste some text, or quit a temporary buffer. It is a sort of
generalization of the built-in commands `scroll-other-window' and
`scroll-other-window-down'.

ALTERNATIVES
owdriver (https://github.com/aki2o/owdriver), like owcmd, implements the general
idea of executing commands in the other window by means of a prefix
key. owdriver provides a number of convenient features missing from owcmd:
- Ability to run multiple commands in the other window sequentially with only
a single press of the "prefix" key
- Built-in commands for changing the other window
- Built-in command to stay in the other window permanently
- avy-like selection of other window via pophint integration
- Easily customize other window commands to use different keybindings from
their defaults
- Visual indication of window selection (however, it appears to flash all
windows displaying the same buffer)

owdriver predates owcmd. owcmd's name has been chosen to reflect its similarity
to the earlier package as well as its more focused (i.e., limited) usage style:
single commands, vs. driving the other window.
owcmd's main advantages relate to its approach to keybindings. Whereas owdriver
maintains a separate map of user-configured keybindings for the other window,
owcmd avoids interacting with keymaps entirely and just uses the current
bindings from the environment. Advantages of owcmd:
- Most keybindings work automatically without configuration. In owdriver,
commands must be bound individually aside from 25 or so defaults.
- Changes to active keymaps are recognized immediately
- No need to memorize a separate set of shortcuts for other window commands.
This is helpful when conflicting keybindings are active in different
buffers: both commands can be used with their default bindings instead of
having to bind separate keys in the other window command map.
- Built-in support for God Mode and Evil God State
- More compatible generally with keymap trickery, as owcmd doesn't touch
keymaps. (I.e., something similar to God Mode should not be hard to
support.)
- Zero dependencies
