What happened?

First of all thanks for updating the UI and fixing several other fixes. So with the new update, whenever I refresh the home screen, reopen the app, only a few rows of recommendations are being displayed. For some reason loading a video and then going back to the home screen loads all the recommendations. Sometimes i have to refresh the homepage several times before they all load. Please look into this issue. Thanks!

Same issue.
Version 278. Started with install of app on a new device, Google Pixel 9 on Android 14, Build AD1A.240530.047

Edit: I forgot that when I first logged into YouTube, the channel has to be selected. My account has only one , and it shows a check box on it, but if I close or hit the back button (which is the only way to get it off the screen otherwise) instead of tapping on that channel, the login fails. I didn't recognize this issue the first time because the YouTube plug-in was enabled, and thus my Subscriptions feed was still displaying and loading videos properly.

I hope this will be fixed in the next or probably the later one. It's becoming quite annoying to refresh the home screen every time I enter the app. And also if I switch from, say the subscriptions tab to the home page, the videos don't load for some reason and I have to double tap the home page button for the videos to load.
