If it's feasible to add a GitHub actions workflow for this repository that runs all the tests (or maybe just all tests for readily installable tools), I think this would be helpful. This way if a tool developer wants to see how to run this test suite there is a ready example. Let's face it: very few bioinformatics utilities even have a test suite to begin with.

Tests on all known packages may be infeasible for hosting on GitHub due to
the amount of time necessary for installation. A template showing how to do
this for one's own project would be more useful.
