Is it possible to auto-complete a word where the first char is the @-sign?

In tsconfig.json we can set compilerOptions.paths to provide mappings for convenient shorthand like this:

import Foo from '@components/someFoo'

When I entered @ and then pressed my keymap of neovim to show the completion menu, while it did show components, the first @-sign disappeared/replaced when I confirmed my choice of components. So I'm here to ask for a workaround.
