Sometimes you get string variables, as a result for instance of a stack operation. But strings offers very few capabilities in iNZight.
It could prove useful to generate factors as a default or, at least, allow to convert to factors not only numeric variables, but all other types (including logical, as a result of an ifelse() formula) :
