Set up AWS Systems Manager Agent (SSM Agent) #89
Comments
Zach deployed a new / draft dashboard for the sandbox (only the IOOS-Bastian host for now). This is a draft - there are more instances and file systems to be added through the Inventory. It will not use up compute cycles. The dashboard can allow access to view EC2 instances, view user activity, etc. It allows a new way to access the AWS instance outside of the Putty or other login route, especially helpful if there are ever issues that require the instance to be restarted. |
From Zach: You can now get directly to the headnode from the AWS Console |
From the original notes: Ok, managed to stumble upon which is now showing me what I expected to see. NOTE: Katherine edited to remove the actual dashboard links - which are in the notes and the Trello card |
Create a dashboard using the SSM in AWS NOS Cloud Sandbox environment (Systems Manager) to update, manage, and configure these resources. See (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/systems-manager/latest/userguide/ssm-agent.html)
