I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to address something that's been on my mind regarding my association with the project. A couple of years ago, I created lualine.nvim with the intention of contributing meaningfully to the Neovim community.
Unfortunately, I recently discovered that I was removed from the organization in late 2023. This decision, made without any prior consultation or discussion, is disheartening. Over the past couple of years, I've had a lot on my plate personally and professionally, which affected my ability to find time to contribute to open source However, I’ve recently wanted to return to working on it, only to realize that my access has been revoked.
I believe decisions like this should involve some level of communication, especially given my role in initiating this project. If there were concerns about my inactivity or any other issues, I would have appreciated the chance to discuss them openly and transparently.
I’d like you to reinstate me in the organization, as this project has always had a special place in my heart. Even during the times I couldn’t actively work on it, it made me happy knowing that a lot of people, myself included, used it daily. I was super eager to start cranking through issues and improving it again after realizing the huge amount of work that has been placed on @shadmansaleh during my absence.
Thank you for your time, and I’m sorry to address this issue here, but there doesn’t seem to be another way to reach out. I hope we can resolve this matter swiftly.
