I recently moved my home assistant installation from OS to a container. Since then, I have been getting around ~6k queries a day for the domain aic-service.lgthinq.com. Prior to that, I don't have any records of any queries to that domain. I'm not sure if this is due to a recent update or because of the change in environment.

  • Home Assistant version installed: 2025.1.2
  • Component version installed: 0.41.1

The same here.
I have 3 air conditioners integrated with Home Assistant, but I use HA OS.
It's the top device generating the most requests on my network.

When I disable this extension, the requests stop completely. However, as soon as I enable it again, the requests resume at the same intensity.

Same here. About 5500 requests in the last 24h. I blocked these DNS requests and the integration stopped refreshing. I set up my own DNS server only ~2 weeks ago, so all I can say is that it has been like this since then.

I know of another extension for LG devices that didn't stop refreshing when I blocked that DNS query... but I like this integration here much more 😄
