I can click it and it shows active when clicking it, but can't toggle it, which is what it looks like -- and I don't know the difference between the two items.

Hehe, that's related to #3. Eventually that 2nd button will change the view to a statistics screen for the currently playing song. But as mentioned in #3, I still have to figure out how I'll save that information.
