Fixing this may also pay dividends for Tidal's actually not-useless volume normalization: https://productionadvice.co.uk/tidal-normalization-upgrade/

I don't know if volume normalization is implemented at all in Tidal Connect, or if so how, but I know that in the desktop app volume normalization functions by making significant changes to the software volume of the output device--which took me way too long to figure out.
