For example, after I pop out chat for youtube, rumble, tiktok and twitch, I will not see any chat messages other than youtube. I am not sure what to do. It doesn't seem to capture messages from the inactive tabs either, meaning if someone sends messages on rumble, I will not see it until I click the tab of rumble chat. I am not even minimizing the browser, I keep it open on the side. I am using chrome extension.

Same here, two updates ago happened the same with facebook and youtube, it only shows youtube. Then I opened another page with the facebook pages and it started to show in that time. But now not even with that.

It's happening even with the newest updates?

If you're still having issues @DLavigneGH , let me know. The issue you were having I think was temporary, and would have resolved itself after updating the extension again minutes later that day.

@Mikace I think whatever issue you are having is completely unrelated to what the original poster is dealing with.

Currently Facebook is working for me, though you can try to reload the Facebook page to see if that helps. Make sure the chat is visible and make sure its a live stream -- not a VOD or recording.

I'm on Discord if you need to debug the issue live with me.

I can't remember, my issue was always happening since I learned about Social Ninja Stream, I think it was 3.4.26.

@DLavigneGH and @Mikace , Version 3.4.29 might have been problematic for some users, but I immediately reversed that change based on this Github issue. I will review that specific update closer before I try pushing it again. The goal of that update was to make these pages work even if in the background, as some users find it doesn't work if the pop out is in the background.

I've not made any other updates related to Facebook , for example, in two weeks. It should be working, however, it might stop working if the pages are not visible.

If things continue to not work with the extension, you can also try the standalone app.

If there is a specific Facebook live stream that isn't working, you can send me the page, if public, and I can try to see if I can see any issues.

I set up the standalone app with my channels and I will let you know after next streams.

here is the current version: https://github.com/steveseguin/social_stream/releases

And here is the upcoming "development" version, which is mostly done, but there's still some bugs: https://github.com/steveseguin/social_stream/releases/tag/0.0.0

Hmm the desktop app seems to work for all my chats.

The 'Rumble Username' doesn't seem to work well though; I set up the stream, I go live, press its 'Activate (Live + Public)' button but it says my Rumble stream is undiscoverable. So I end up using the 'Video ID' (actually had to use the stream's chat URL, not the actual video ID which was confusing me) and it worked.

I will try more!

the issue with the username for rumble will be fixed in the next app update.

For video ID, it should work, but there are two video IDs; a fake one and a real one, and the real one isn't obvious. Using the chat URL instead makes more sense for now.

{should be updated now}
