Many states are reporting current hospital information at a hospital region level rather than at a county level. The question is what should we do about this.
On the one hand, hospital beds at a region level may be more indicative of how much capacity the area has. However this isn't always true and, if we assigned, the number of hospital beds in a region to each county then the data would no longer aggregate nicely.
Not sure what to do about this.
Louisiana and Texas are examples of states that report like this (but there are many).
