Non-hd output is garbled #1

When running in non-hd mod (without the '-hd' command line option), the resulting coverage map is squashed. In addition, regions seem interpolated with mirror images on top of one another.

This seems to be applicable to the original source as well. Given this situation, the darwin-15.0.0-compile branch also has the problem. Attached a new image from the original source (running on Linux) compiled with the 2x2 option (non HD). Location is from sample_data/wnju-dt.qth with elevation data from SRTMGL data
