I would like to change country names in the dropdown to display french names. Is there a way to do it ?

In intl-tel-input there is an option "localizedCountries" that allow to translate a country name.

In your component, if i am right, the names are in CountryCode. Is it possible to override it to translate countries ?

No not at the moment, this could be a nice new feature.

I've created a MR to offer a solution addressing this issue

until this gets resolved I forked the library and added Arabic only translation, here is the repo URL if anyone wanted to use it https://github.com/sitmena/angular-custom-phone-number
